BCTFN is a fund-raising organisation for Thai charities in Thailand. It is British inspired but is supported by many other nationalities. The main fund-raising event for BCTFN is Ploenchit Fair, an annual charity event held in Bangkok.
Every year, the Ploenchit Fair helps create millions of smiles on the faces of thousands of people: the volunteers who help put on Ploenchit Fair; those who attend the Fair, including the kiddies; but smiles, especially among those who ultimately receeive the benefit of the funds generated through Ploenchit Fair.
Since 2000, over 45 million Baht has been generated through Ploenchit Fair. The money generated - plus other small amounts from donations and legacies - go to fund the many ambitious and sustaianble projects that BCTFN helps, throughout Thailand. It is the sheer scale and diversity of the projects that set BCTFN apart; that plus the close involvement that BCTFN takes in every project. Each member of the BCTFN Committee will help several individual projects: evaluating requests; assisting wherever possible; providing encouragement at difficult times in the project; and helping to "audit" the project, thus helping to provide a strong foundation for the next project request.
